Shado MX CMS Impementation with ASP.Net CRM Integration via Web Services


The Sydney Convention and Visitors Bureau (SCVB) is the driving force in securing and promoting meetings, incentive travel programmes, conventions, exhibitions and special events for Sydney. Through a range of sophisticated sales and destination marketing activities and advisory services, the organisation is committed to providing measurable benefits for its stakeholders.

The SCVB were looking to redevelop their website and required assistance with the planning, development, design and testing of the website. As an integral part of delivering the new website, SCVB decided to invest in a Content Management System (CMS) to provide a website framework and allow non technical users to manage and edit content. The SCVB website focuses on three major stakeholder groups, Members, Meeting Planners and Delegates.

Gruden were chosen from many interested parties to implement the selected Shado CMS from Straker Interactive.

The SCVB project is a multi-phase delivery project with the first phase recently sent live. This first phase encompasses a detailed scoping phase, full site design and site built with Shado CMS.

The scoping phase was carried out in conjunction with our strategic partner The Performance Technologies Group (PTG). Stakeholder workshops, interviews, surveys and research were carried out with a final delivery of Wireframes an Information Architecture (IA) and a detailed functional specifications document.

The SCVB have a large database of suppliers / members, Gruden worked closely with SCVB and their overseas CRM partner to integrate this ASP.Net CRM application with the complex 'Find a Supplier' search facility. This facility uses Web Services to pull data from the CRM application. Results from this search can be added to a users favourites list 'My Directory' for comparison and quick reference.
