Paper-Less Alliance

Environmental campaign site using the Sitecore content management system

Each year, Australians use 1.6 million tonnes of printing and writing paper. The cost of this is not just financial - there's an environmental cost too in terms of water, pulp, energy and greenhouse gases.

The core aims of the Paper-Less Alliance include:

  • Reduce the use of office paper by 20% within five years
  • Change the status quo on paper usage by focusing corporate attention on 'Paper-Less' opportunities
  • Maximise corporate use of electronic documents and encourage the digitisation of paper documentation, to boost productivity and financial savings for business
  • Significantly reduce the postage bills of Australia's businesses
  • Provide effective tools and solutions to businesses that want to measurably reduce their paper usage

The Paper-Less Alliance campaign site is managed by Do Something! - a not-for-profit organisation that aims to combine the resources of the business community with the goodwill of the general public.

Gruden designed and developed the Paper-Less Alliance website.

Working within a strict budget, Gruden used the Sitecore CMS's flexible features to develop a technical framework that allowed the creative team to deliver a visually engaging campaign site.

Sitecore provides multi-site support allowing organisations to manage an array of websites while seeking a single management platform for content.

This framework has allowed Gruden to build a series of campaign websites for DoSomething that all sit on the same platform, making it easy for these websites to be kept up to date.

"Gruden worked with us collaboratively to create a visual engaging online presence that has been successfully applied to a number of our environmental awareness campaigns." Jon Dee, Founder and Chairman of Do Something!
