QBE Mercantile Mutual engaged Gruden to work on it's new intranet, aiming to increase business performance and productivity within the organization, whilst reducing the variance in performance between people.
Gruden and PTG worked with both QBE Mercantile Mutual and CPD (design & branding agency) to ensure that the Intranet not only meets the desired outcomes of the project, but to also ensure that the design from CPD was both functional and addressed the project goals.
As part of this project we reviewed the strategy, existing intranet and service documentation to ensure the assignment is conducted within the business and marketing context.
This required us to establish the major workflows for how people will use the new Intranet. This ensured that as content and services are added to the intranet, they are done in a manner that suits people's work practices. We also reviewed the content on the intranet and developed a new taxonomy / Information Architecture for categorising information and services.
From this, we designed the user interface on wireframes from which CPD designed the creative elements to the Intranet. We then created the HTML templates for QBE Mercantile Mutual's internal developers to implement and also created the department homepage animations.
